The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will redevelop the Topiwala market at Goregaon (West), in Maharashtra
Tenders have been floated for the redevelopment of the 16 floor building
The total area of the market is presently 4,401 sq mtr. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 109 crore and will take around 42 months to be completed. The present shopkeepers in the market will be provided alternative space till the construction is complete
The fourth, fifth and the sixth floors of the building will feature a new drama theatre in which a few seats will be reserved for the specially-abled. The building will also have a yoga centre, library, gymnasium, three rehearsal halls for performing artists, and a parking facility for 200 vehicles
