The Municipal Corporation is all set to spend Rs 70 core in the first phase of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) project. The MC has received nearly Rs 92.7 crore for providing clean water to the urban areas facing a potable water crisis

Recently, the MC had conducted a survey and identified 25 wards grappling with water scarcity. The officials said 32 tubewells and nearly 28 overhead water tanks would be installed in these areas. A 322-km water pipeline will also be laid in these wards

The MC aims at providing 46,000 new water connections under the project
