The Union government has sanctioned Rs. 160 crore each to Kalaburagi, Bidar, Ballari and Raichur cities under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme for improvement of drinking water supply, under ground drainage (UGD) system and other works
Union government had released Rs. 66.8 crore for the UGD works and Rs. 80 lakh for the development of green spaces and parks in Kalaburagi. For Bidar city, Rs. 19.96 crore had been released for improvement of drinking water supply, Rs. 22 crore for UGD works, and Rs. 80 lakh for the development of green space and parks. For Ballari city, Rs. 36 crore had been released for drinking water works, Rs. 36.25 crore for UGD works and Rs 90 lakh for the development of the green space and parks. For Raichur city, Rs. 38.5 crore had been released for drinking water works, Rs. 37.9 crore for UGD works and Rs. 80 lakh for the development of green space and parks.
